House Hunting...

Well, my mom officially bought a new house on Sunday. I'm happy for her, it's completely beautiful and will be everything she always wanted. It's hard to imagine moving out of the house we lived in for so long though, and saying goodbye to all the memories...especially those of my father. Even though the last few months of memories we made were not all that joyful, that is still where he died, and where his soul went to heaven, so it's kind of difficult to imagine someone else moving in there and making memories over that. But it's also kind of refreshing.

I went to Ocean City, MD this past weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I think I've finally come to the decision that I just don't like to drink as much as I used to. I mean, some wine or some beer is great, but all that hard stuff just isn't worth the headache later. Beer is much better. We had fun, and I think I spent $40 on a video game (crazy impulsive me). Overall though, I would've been happier at home on the couch, relaxing and watching a movie. Ack. I must be getting older, I can't believe I just said that. But seriously, bars are so expensive and noisy and crowded. They are fun every now and then, but I'd rather just be at home.

And the Packers are out of the playoffs. Seriously, that game was embarrassing on Sunday. I almost couldn't watch after the first half. Favre just can't play like he used to, and I'm hoping this is his last year, even though I'd love to see him break some more records. Well, it's time to put my hopes on Philly...and I'm thinking they can finally do it this year. They can at least get to the Superbowl anyway, whether they win or not is the operative question. The Steelers or the Patriots would be tough teams to beat. But they gotta get through Minnesota and Atlanta first, and no one knows how this month long break they've had will pan out. Sunday will be a very telling game. I can't wait though. Who would've thought that three of the teams that weren't supposed to win this past weekend would be advancing to the next weekend of playoffs??? Certainly not me. So who knows what this weekend holds. But I do hope the Colts kill the Patriots. That would be awesome.

Well, then give me incentive to give them up forever, and I will!!! :) I'm only a Favre Fan anyway...so I'll only like the Packers as long as he's around. And I still like the Eagles too. Whether you can accept that or not, it's the truth. So deal with it!!! Haha. Go Eagles!!
